Mudge

:( :( :( :(

Hello. I don't know if this is the correct venue in which to post this, but perhaps some kind member will read it and post it where it should go.

It is with the deepest despair that I must share with you that Mudge (Brad Eney) has passed away. He fought a long, arduous, and courageous battle with cancer, but lost his fight last Sunday morning. I know we met many of you at air shows, particularly Thunder Over Michigan. Some of you may miss his opinions on this forum and many of you will probably not. He was the center of my universe and I'm not sure how I will go on without him.

Although I supported and encouraged his collection of WWII memorabilia, aircraft art in particular, I will eventually need to liquidate most of his collection. If any Wixers are interested in anything he had or know of someone who might, I would be happy in knowing his precious mementos will have new homes where they are appreciated.

I will actually not be back on this site after this notification. If you want to get in touch with me, please send an email to Lin at eneybl1@comcast.net. Thank you so much for letting Brad be a part of your conversations and interests.

Warmest regards,
Mrs. Mudge the broken-hearted

Good Lord, I was just thinking about him last evening and looking to see the date of his last posting. :(

I only got to meet him once but always looked forward to his posts, and he always spoke highly of his wife.

Lin, so sorry to hear of Brad's passing. We had many great conversations at Thunder Over Michigan, and I for one, missed not seeing and talking to him the past two shows. I would contact Kevin Walsh at the Yankee Air Museum to see if they have any interest in Brad's collection. Mr. Mudge was a good man.

Tom Walsh.

Sorry to hear of your loss Lin. He always spoke highly of you and your participation in his aviation...habit. I've been missing his mirthful commentary...moreso now.

Another good man, taken too soon by the vile beast that is cancer.

Lin, you have my deepest condolences. I always enjoyed his commentary and his humorous third-person comments. I wish you and the entire Eney family peace at this difficult time.

In his honor, I am,

Lynn the saddened

Deeply saddened to hear this. I never met him in person but had many great conversations here, and thoroughly enjoyed his input.

Let us raise a glass to an honorable and decent man gone too soon.

You and your family are in our prayers.

With his John Wayne swagger and tell it like it is attitude, I'll miss him.
