Hi all,
Just got this site forwarded to me... a bunch of photos showing the progress of the full-size, exact replica P-26 Peashooter being built by Nate Mayo near here in Bolton, MA.
The site is:

If you don't know, Nate Mayo rebuilt the TBM Avenger owned by the Collings Foundation as well as their Stearman and AT-6. He also rebuilt many of the turrets on the B-24 Liberator also owned by CF. He and his team are doing a hell of a job and it is said that we will most likely see it at least do engine runs this summer, if not fly.
FYI: the site hosting those pictures is not affiliated with Nate... it was done for a presentation to the Aero Club of New England.

A fantastic and worthwhile project. If you can't wait for this one to fly, you might be able to catch the real thing flying this May...

WOW... that looks great! I wasn't aware of this project. There's another team re-creating two P-26's. They've made a lot of progress too, and you can see their work here...

Just think, in a couple of years we could see a flight of FOUR P-26's!
Cheers,
Richard
