If you know your deep "Luftwaffe" history then you will be able to follow the quote below. Interesting scheme on this Fw 200 Condor.

"FW 200C-4/U1 WNr.0137 code CE+IB of the F.d.F. had been Himmler's personal transport, and it made it to the end of the war, when on 23 April 1945 Hptm. Erich Geißelhardt flew Dr. Morell from Berlin-Gatow in this aircraft."

Looks to have been a High-speed transport aircraft, with accommodation for 14 passengers, with only one example built.

According to www.luftwaffe-experten.org/stam-g.html this aircraft had been Heinrich Himmler's personal aircraft before being captured by the British and taken under the wing of the Air Ministry.

The 'civil' example being rebuilt was a military version. We did a major feature on this aircraft a couple of issues ago which details the recovery itself, ongoing recoveries for parts, work done to date and the 'whys and where's' of how it will be displayed. The world's largest WWII rebuild project is a fascinating story.
