Before spending big money on what looks like a metal jigsaw puzzle, I'd wonder if the technical documents exist to rebuild it.

In the "Good Ole Days" a talented guy with modest means would buy a Corsair, P-51, or P-40 and then disappear off the radar. 15 or maybe even 20 years later it would emerge as a beautiful flying aircraft worth 20 times what they had in materials. It was called a" retirement project" because when you were finished, you were old and it could be sold for a small fortune to fund one's retirement. This is one of those projects.
