Glad everyone is okay, and the N3N is tough, should be repairable.

With the amount of oil coming out of the breather tube, and just one bent prop, it appears the engine seized up. I'm glad nobody was hurt.

Always glad to hear that no one was seriously hurt.
I totally agree that the "N" is a tough ol' bird.
This one will fly again.

He did a great job. That's a "plowed, not planted" field. It's plowed, then weeds grow up and it looks like a good choice from the air. It's very soft, Amazing that it didn't go over on it's back.

Looks like the gear pretty much folded up which probably helped keep it from nosing over. Is the gear of the N3N more susceptible to collapsing than a Stearman?

This is what she looked like a month ago.
Taken at the Anoka County Airport near St Paul/Minneapolis on 6-4-2016.

Good news!

Wonder if we could get the thread title changed to "N3N back up?" :drink3:

Or at least change the thread title to include the date of the original crash.
As I've said before, post titles like "N3N down" or "N3N crash today" can induce unnecessary worry when viewed days/weeks later...

Not sure how old the ad is but it states it just sold....if it's the same one in the OP??? No mention of the mishap.
