Hi folks,
I ask this once a year, and seeing as how we have quite a few folks from overseas joining us as of late, I wanted to see if anyone here knew...
What happened to Spitfire Mk. XIV TD135 (converted to Mk. IX). The aircraft was owned by Dr. Bill Anderson of Geneseo, NY... and it still may be in his hands, but I have not seen the aircraft in almost 10 years. Word had it that it went overseas to Belgium, and then I heard that it went to NZ or Australia... can anyone confirm this? Word also had it that Dr. Anderson traded his Nord 1101 (Me-208) to Jerry Yagen for a set of Spitfire wings...
So anyone know anything?
I was thinking about this as I was looking through my VHS tapes two evenings ago and found some footage I had shot when I was working on the plane at 1941 HAG in Geneseo. Ralph Hull from Hull Aero came over to help us on the project as he was working on the wings for the plane at the time in Halifax (which supposedly were claimed by Ralph later due to non-payment?) and on the lunch break, he took out his guitar and gave the assembled volunteers an inpromptu jam session of Irish songs and some Dylan stuff... very cool indeed. I was glad I got it on tape!

I'm looking for photographic confirmation also.
My understanding is that it is now with the Eric Vormazeele Collection in Belgium since some time in 2004.

Would surprise that this aircraft would be with Voormezeel as I never heard of any Spitfire with him.

Willy -If you go on his website you will find that they are interested in acquiring wings for a Spitfire . The Spitfire TD135 left the U.S without it's wings and was for sale in Norfolk as a project.

All this dancing about.
Well my reports (reliable) say that it went to the Voormezeel collection in 2004 but nobody but nobody in Belgium seems to agree.
Sounds like a privacy issue to me. No problems.
