49th Fighter Squadron badge

Came across this photo of a F-84B of the 49th Fighter Squadron. Does anybody have more info on the badge on the fuselage?

Wow! I have had that same question. The patch is unofficial and was worn when the 49th first converted to jets. I have never seen a photo with enough resolution to see the details.
