1955 Hawker Hunter

Thu Jun 02, 2016 1:55 pm

I came across a gentleman selling a nose off of a 1955 Hawker Hunter. It comes with a trailer and he says he has the ejection seat. How much would you pay for this setup???

Cockpits bring big money in the UK especially popular types like Hunters.
No idea what it would go for in North America (you don't say where you are) most laymen (and, I suspect, a few here) don't know what a Hunter is.

It would depend on condition and originality...does it have the correct instruments, etc.

It has some instruments and most parts are in the cockpit. It needs new paint and some work on the nose cone. I'm located in south Texas. Cockpits aren't really a big thing here.

but some sellers think they have a gold mind.

I bet it would bring less than that....

If so, some entrepreneurs could buy it and ship it to the UK where it would bring 5000 pounds or more... if in nice shape with correct UK instruments.

DinoInvader,

Do you have any idea of the origin of this nose section, which country's military it was with?
