This airshow held a Goodyear AZ in 2006 was the dustiest show I have attended in 40 years of aviation photograhy. I was lucky to get this many fairly good shots. I hope some of you can enjoy looking at them

Dusty indeed. I think the locals complained about it for days afterward! A decent show, although a far cry from the CAF hosted show held at the same venue some ten years or so prior.

The show you are talking about is CAF Wings of Victory Air, Show Goodyear Airport, March 18, 1995 I will post photos Some time in the near future - I hope. I will have to scan 172 photos as that was pre-digital. It was a very good show and NOT DUSTY.

2809 (MSN 205) formerly on civil registry as N8426H. To USAF Oct 26, 1954. To MASDC as CS078 Nov 19, 1989.
To civil registry as N6288Y. Later N131CW with Classic Wings Inc, Vero Beach, FL. Donated to Southern California Wing of Commemorative AF at Camarillo, CA. In 2013 was in Yanks Museum, Chino, California

Convair 340-71 Samaritan (C-131F)

The CV-240/340/440 series was used by the United States Air Force (USAF) for medical evacuation and VIP transport and was designated as C-131 Samaritan. The first model Samaritan, the C-131A, was derived from the CV-240 model, and was delivered to the USAF in 1954.

The United States Navy used the Samaritan, initially designated as the R4Y until 1962, at which point the naval aircraft were also redesignated as C-131s.

Nearly all of the C-131s left the active inventory in the late 1970s, but the U.S. Coast Guard operated the aircraft until 1983, while the Air National Guard and Navy units operated additional airframes, primarily as Operational Support Aircraft (OSA) for Air National Guard flying wings and as naval air station aircraft until 1990.
