Night Photo Shoot - Military Aviation Museum

Tue Sep 08, 2015 12:37 pm

Howdy Folks --

For all of you WIXers who are photographers -- this is a great opportunity! Make it a Warbird Day -- attend the NAS Oceana Airshow during the day, then head out to MAM for this great event.

Join a small group of warbird photographers for the museum’s first –ever “Blue Flames” Nighttime Photo Shoot! Tickets will be limited to 100 photo enthusiasts for a September 19th evening engine run photo opportunity at the museum’s Fighter Factory.

Beginning at 6:00 PM (immediately after the Oceana Air Show), the Military Aviation Museum will display its Oshkosh Grand Champion award winning de Havilland Mosquito, as well as two World War Two combat veterans - the Curtiss P-40 and the TBM Avenger*.

All three aircraft will be available for close-up photography until dusk, when the photographers will retreat only slightly while the ramp is prepared with lighting for each plane to make an engine run in the dark southern Virginia Beach evening. The ramp will be watered down to provide reflections for the photographers.

I hope that this reputed photographer whose services you are so keen to advertise also taught you time-traveling skills, so that you are able to travel back to September 19th and attend the event. :)
