Gee, that looks like the one restored by Ken Hyde that rocked Oshkosh back in 1987? That was a great looking airplane. I saw that it was just pulled out of a museum after a couple of decades on static display to be made airworthy again.

That's the one, re-restored by Ken and crew, new fabric and engine overhaul, and misc. stuff. Grand Champion Antique at Oshkosh 1987, and would likely do it again.

From the Fagen Fighters Facebook page:

There is also video of one of the test flights on their page.

I had been wondering what was up their sleeves when the new grass runway was introduced this year. ; )

Thank you Andrew for posting your photos! Did you capture that flight on GoPro?

Now that is grand! I'm one of the fortunate few who spends a lot of time around one of these old gals, and this warms me right up! There's nothing that'll transport you back in time faster than the sound of a Jenny in the air... :D

To Fagen & Co.: :drink3:

I do have some GoPro video also, but haven't installed a video editing program on the new computer yet. Here's some video of the first post restoration take-off, taken by Bill Hadden:
