B-25 "Panchito" delivers Doolittle Gold Medal to NMUSAF

Thu May 07, 2015 10:26 am

The Congressional Gold Medal was presented to the Doolittle Raiders last month. The medal was flown to WPAFB for presentation to the Air Force Musem for permanent display in the WWII Gallery.

Larry Kelly and his B-25 "Panchito" flew the Medal from Washington to Dayton and when landed at WPAFB they were greeted by a Water Arch by the WPAFB Fire Department.

Planning a trip to the Museum? Don't forget to stop by the Doolittle Exhibit to view this historic meda.

Seems like another thread rather than a "please don't misunderstand" thing, and I didn't misunderstand at all. I wholeheartedly agree ... in another thread.

Two very different raids with very different objectives.
