I can't say it was either of these specific aircraft, but I remember years ago talking to someone in Valdosta who said he worked in a scrap yard many years before that, that'd had a T-38 sitting in the yard, all stripped out, that his kids would play in from time to time. Might have been this.
But the idea of a civilian scrap yard with a complete military airframe sitting there... man, that's something we won't see again.

From the Col.
T-33 Portsmouth Naval Shipyard was used for fire train scrapped by 76
B-52C, KC-135A both were scrapped at Dow, the 52 nose section used to be in a local scrap yard gone by 1995
F-84 Otis sat at the base for 6 years then cut up do to corrosion

Geez, imagine finding a nose section like that, even stripped down... I've always wondered why nose sections are never kept even as curiosities, as scrap yards will often keep 'interesting' pieces around just for the heck of it, I've seen a lot of cool stuff stashed away at scrap yards over the years because the owners just thought they were interesting, in times of low scrap value, of course.

Brandywine T-33 may have become a gate guard at Montgomery Airpark in Gaithersburg, Maryland through the late-1980s when it was move to a VFW in Pocomoke City, Maryland -- which is quite a haul!
