Tom - if you have access to Putnam's General Dynamics Aircraft and their Predecessors by John Wegg, 1990, page 219 gives the short history of the single Model 48 Charger. If you need more info feel free to PM me. All the best.

THANKS Mark! I noticed that most of the war time carrier based tugs are based on Ford tractors. I'm not sure what model exactly, but they are a neat version of the Ford farm tractor. If you have more please keep them coming. I hope to someday own a WW2 vintage aircraft tug to take to local fly-in's and such.

Here are photos of our Cletrac thanks to WIX's own roger Cain.

That's my daughter Sydney driving with Robin and Ricky. We took it to Eagle Field and put some hay bales on a bomb trailer and did hay rides around historic old Eagle Field.

Isn't she beautiful!!

Gotta love the Cletrac. We have three project Cletracs that will be available for trade since this one is complete and a sweet runner.

We also have a Ford Moto Tug that is seen in Mark's photos on the carrier decks. Ours is Navy and will be a perfect tug for the Harpoon. Needs lots of work as most everything around here does but its stock and uncut in any way.
