Type D Mark II raft scavenger hunt

Ok WIX brain trust let's see who can help. I'm looking for a Type D, Mark II raft.

Chuck how many do you need? I may know a certain boat that may have a boatload of them. I will be paying her a visit on the 11th. See what I can dig up :wink:

Heading up to the Hornet next Tuesday. Still going to see what I can find for you Chuck. Haven't forgotten about you.

Lieutenant Richard Gray of Fighting Squadron (VF) 8 off the carrier Hornet (CV 8) put the life raft on his F4F-4 Wildcat to use at the Battle of Midway, filing a report of his experience below.
