Just got this from ebay. Description said: "North American Aviatiion metal plate. No idea what ANA means"
Anyone know where it may have come from? NAA corporate vehicle type deal? Came from an antique dealer in CA.

NAA = North American Aviation.
Doesn't look post-WWII, so I'd guess B-25 or T-6, possibly P-51 even?
There was an AHA (I think) article some time ago, which detailed the changes to the NAA logo, so that might help date it further. On F-86s, this logo is embossed (not a separate part) on each ejection seat footrest.

Yes well I know what it means just thought it was hilarious that they spelled it out and didn't knkw themselves. Once person asked why my NAA shirt said "Ana"

No ideas? It's large so I wasn't thinking it was an aircraft part but it is cast aluminum. Should poish up nicely. So far I have this and rudder pedals from a T-6. I'm just a few parts away from my dream! Ha!

It could also be from an early Navion. I know their rudder pedals were emblazoned with the NAA logo as well (but molded rubber)

Where would have such an emblem ben on a P-51, B-25 or T-6?
Details were usually
cast into the rudder pedals, and I can't see the govt. springing for a bit of NAA advertising in its aircraft.
Around the same time, they got Ford to quit stamping "Ford" on many of the Jeep parts they made.
I was thinking Navion too, again I don't know where it would have been located.

The color could supply some clues. That looks like Dull Dark Green, standard cockpit color for many USAAF aircraft. I think P-51s came from the factory with the cockpits painted "interior green" (actually zinc chromate yellow tinted with black.) I think B-25s had a lot of Dull Dark Green inside, but I'm not sure about AT-6s/SNJs.
