Just picked up an F-86 Sabre rear canopy.
It is intact - but scratched. It is the sliding version .
It must have been through a scrapyard at some time as all metal around the edges has been removed.
As it is in UK - I assume it must have been from a Canadair version - - but without any metal I cannot easily get an i.d.
Before doing anything with it - just wanted to check whether there were any sabre restorations or museum machines that need a rear canopy ?

A local Air Guard unit restored an F-86 as a gate guard a few years ago. They ended up with a spare canopy for some reason, and turned it into a cover for a display case of model of all the aircraft the unit had flown over the years. Very creative use of it!
