Just an informal poll, what would everyone like to see the NASM restore after Flak Bait? For me, the B-25, P-39 or the P-63. Not in any particular order.

I agree with the "one of the more rare / one of a kind" historical aircraft. It really should not matter what country or time period it was produced.
Any gain for all to see is a step forward.

I vote Betty, Shinden and Arado 196 float plane for restorations. Fully agree that rare or one of kinds should be priorities.

And with just a hose off, please pull out the Pogo and Sageburner.

1. Ta-152 because she's been sitting there for so long and waiting.

2. Re-do the Fw190D on loan at the AF Museum. She looks rough and after all of the activity with the FHC A-5 and D-13 and with White 1, there should be enough parts and expertise to correct it and bring the Fw190D up to a better standard than the 1970s restoration.

3. How about digging out the Ju-388? That would be an impressive addition to Dulles.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'd like to see one of the rare Japanese types restored. Since all that remains of the Betty is the forward fuselage, it could be displayed as-is. The Frances would be cool to see restored. The Grace, Judy or Irving would also be great, but I've heard that they may be in too poor condition to economically restore (you'd end up replacing most of the original metal.) The Judy in particular sat outdoors at NAS Willow Grove for decades.
