Last time I saw 'Diamond 'Lil' was in August of 2004 at Prior Aviation, Buffalo Airport. (KBUF)

Since her transformation and new look I've been rather eager to see her with my own eyes.

This past Tuesday I finally had the opportunity to lay eyes on the 'ole gal again.

Here's a few shots... see more HERE.

Nice pics. The first flying warbird I ever saw... DL stopped at Rochester along with 'Fifi' back in 1983 and I had the sense to go check them out. Then I heard about, and went to, the airshow at Geneseo the next year and I was hooked. Glad to know both of those planes are still flying!

Diamond Lil' should be on the roster for Geneseo. I remember hearing that the group was worried of operating the 24 off of the grass strip. But the Collings Foundation was successful in the early nineties. C'mon B-24 Wing!
