Former Eagle Squadron and 4th Fighter Group pilot James Goodson passed away yesterday at the age of 93.

I agree. A very good book. Another one of our WWII heroes is gone!

Goodson, was awarded his RCAF Wings (Course No. 38-A) on December 5, 1941, at No. 6 Service Flying Training School (SFTS), Dunnville, Ontario. He subsequently transferred from the RCAF to the USAAF. One of the 8,860 Americans who joined the RCAF prior to America's entry into WW II on December 8, 1941.

A few years ago I was able to send him a copy of "Tumult in the Clouds" which the Colonel was kind enough to personalize, a treasured item in my collection.
We are indebted to Col. Goodson and his generation. I feel the era of the flying "ace" is rapidly passing as there are only some 100+/- aces remaining.
