I saw a commercial on TV this morning for Mr. Clean with this PBY tanker:

I paused the Dish receiver and shot a photo of the TV screen with my digital camera.

What are the doors underneath for..dropping luggage?

Yes..I know they're water dump doors. I work at a TV station, and the other day I went through the clip frame-by-frame. The people appear real (aside from the CGI Mr. C. of course.) But I still couldn't tell for sure if the engines are acutally running, or the props replaced with CGI.

The props look to be cgi, as does the pilot by the plane, and I hope the remove the pitot cover before they take off

Are the business-attired passengers smokejumpers?

The Catalina in the clip is CC-CDT at Santiago, Chile and it is a 'runner' although not a 'flyer' at this moment in time. So, the turning props are probably for real. This aircraft has since been repainted to represent a FACh aircraft for film work.
