Kermit Weeks flying his P-51C Mustang

Sun Jan 19, 2014 2:49 am

A video clip on Kermit flying his P-51C Mustang for an Air Aces tv show. He remarks it was the worst flight he ever had in the plane because of the heat of the day and the gear he had to wear to portray a Tuskegee airmen. Cool fly bys though.

Caught the show on Military Channel. Glad they used some real flying, instead of just all CGI.

I quit watching once the guy wearing the modern Nomex (probably a poly-blend copy) flight suit showed up...
Look, I've done cable TV for a few things and I know how low a budget these shows often have, but for the love of God, they really didn't even try to get the uniforms and gear even close...

I landed a Mae West manufactured in 45. Still has the charge intact.
