USAF Museum OK's KZZV F-105 Silver Paint Scheme!! :)

Sat Dec 21, 2013 1:59 pm

Greetings Wix'ers....got word the other week that the USAF Museum granted our request to have the F-105B at Zanesville Ohio KZZV airport finished in a classic sliver paint scheme. Mike and I are very excited about completing our work that will result in a fine representation of a cold war warrior...

Mike has already completed the black trim items and the F-105B is looking very happy at the moment, even with this ugly Ohio weather this time of year!

We are working with the same firm that did the high quality transfer markings for the Newark Ohio F-4C....and we will be starting a fundraising effort to help defray the cost of the markings.

Look for more news coming shortly...will post some recent pics of the silver finish that absolutely glows. We got a comment that it is now looking so bright they might not need the airport beacon anymore!

Are you using regular old silver paint or silver IMRON? Regular silver will age like your old girlfriend and look like art deco poo in a few years.
