Two reasons to go to Quonset, RI this weekend

First, the Collings tour is there, with its usual awesomeness enhanced by the addition of the Collings Skyraider, which the CF bases at Quonset by agreement with the Quonset Air Museum. With luck you might get to see the Spad fly as I did this afternoon.







Second, the Quonset Air Museum is doing some end-of-season work on its hangar and has dragged almost its entire collection outdoors. From the beautiful TBM to the one-of-a-kind XF15C, some birds you won't get to see and photograph outdoors often are now available. Be sure to drop a few extra bucks in the donation pot!

I don't have any real info, but based on what I saw, the Banshee project is not front burnered.
