Strange invasion stripes

Found this photo on another forum -

I've never seen invasion stripes this wide or out to the wingtips

And 3 of the Mustangs seem to have only 2 stripes

Looks to be south pacific and not ETO.

It's looks like the Fighters of the 348th FG, but without the strips on the rudder.
