Hey Scott, in reference to your June B-25 updates, I'm not sure if this is much of a help, but you were saying you were not finding much info on the 4th Maintenance Echelon in Mexico. I've found several references to them online, but not a website. Here's the most I have though -

1) Their proper name is - 4/o. Escalon de Mantenimiento

2) Here is a page with their patches - http://kiwipatchcollection.blogspot.com ... erial.html

3) #2 gives a clue to their location - "BAM 1 Santa Lucia"

Santa Lucia is a Mexican Air Force installation on the northern outskirts of Mexico City. There are several large hangars there. A Google Maps Search of "Santa Lucia Airport, Mexico" will take you to the airfield.

Thanks for that information. I had searched online but you came up with much more than what I found. I will incorporate that information in the near future.

Just flew all over Santa Lucia via Google Maps, and I didn't see anything resembling a B-25 near the maintenance hangars; the P-47 is missing from its outdoor display as well (although there are some other gate guardians like a T-33, Twin Beech, C-118 and C-130 here and there). There's a P-47 in similar markings on display in Guadalajara but I don't think it's the same one.

The report was that the B-25(s) were undergoing restoration, so I suspect that if they're there, they are inside a hangar. :)
