XP-82 July Update

Both fuselages should be attached to the center section before August is done. Can anyone say, "OSH 2014"?

I really appreciate the links to this phenomenal project Dan, thank you.

The craftsmanship in this project has got to be as close to perfect as a human can get. WOW!

These blog updates are eagerly anticipated and fascinating to read-- I had no idea how complicated the wings and fuselage assemblies are on the XP-82 and I am awestruck at the quality of work that is going into the rebuild of this aircraft.

The fact that so many NOS components still exist (hardware, valve assy's, etc) also makes my head spin.

I would love to see photographs of what they started out with-- they often reference the hulks from Alaska and Colorado, but I don't think I have ever seen photos of them.

Kudos to an outstanding restoration and documentation job (and letting us peek into the work that it takes to rebuild one of these to back to zero time!)

Brandon's got it. Dick Odgers found those remains at a dump outside Fairbanks, AK.
