We took Gold but not with an airplane...1945 Willys...

Sun Aug 04, 2013 10:54 pm

While I was in Dubuque IA flying formation with the T6/SNJ NATA crowd my 1945 Willys WWII vet took 1st (Gold) at the Military Vehicles nationals in Portland OR in the restoration class. Out of a possible 1200 points, it scored 1180. Thanks Jimmy!

Congrats, Chuck. I'm sure the Gold for planes will be coming in the next couple of years.

Just wondering - what made you decide to forego the white windscreen?

Do they tell you where they marked you off, or do you have to guess?

Considering how little he was marked down, probably 1psi low or high in one of the tires ;)

Congrats, I took a good look at this Jeep, you did a great job (and I love that you left the interior of the engine compartment in OD.
I didn't bring my MB, but I was with that war correspondent display along the left wall as you entered the hall, if you ever saw it...
