This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Images from a recent UK airshow involving an air-to-air sortie with the Vulcan - though they might be of interest, even if it is a little younger than the aircraft usually discussed here! The aim is to keep the Vulcan flying until 2015, although with engines in short supply and funding a constant issue, that may be a tad ambitious... Still, they've kept it going since 2007, so who knows what the future will bring?!

Great photos of the Vulcan in flight in that link! (although I don't care for the choice of formation flight companions).
Haven't seen the Vulcan in the air since I saw it fly at air shows here in the U.S. back in the seventies. Would love to get over to the UK in the next year or two to see it fly again - hope the plan to keep it going in 2014 and 2015 succeeds!

Man....that is just PURE SEX right there.
As a "Vulcan Child" of Paine Field and Abbottsford from the '70's, I have a soft-spot and always will for that airplane.
Thanks for sharing.
