For Jack Cook, Hey pal, who is this ace? I can't make out the name ... I'm usually good at figuring this stuff out but I'm stumped ...

And here's some of the U.S. Navy "ace mountees" .... not enough of these guys were made during the war IMO. My dad flew with Stimpson and Smith. Source NMNA archives. I'll post more if you like these photos. I would guess you dudes who like to collect autographs would love to have had these originals signed for you by these aces.

1st, I always wondered if there was any difference in Japanese kill markings rising sun vs meatball, or are they just 1 in the same?? as to the swastika w/ the duckie....... what's the significance of that?? never saw anything like it before.

Possibly earlier in the war they were painted on with the whatever material they had. Then I think they went to a type of sticker. Just guessing here so any info would be great
