One thing I always enjoy about restoring WW II Liaison aircraft is researching the pilots that flew them. Some of the men that flew our O-58A were KIA but some went on to long and full careers. I have always felt that each restoration serves to help us remember these men and honor their service.
Robert J. Low flew our O-58A, 42-7796 on many occasions while at the Pittsburg Liaison training school. Based on what I have read about him during my research he was an exceptional soldier and person.

I was able to identify the ferry pilot of my L 4 since he crashed the aircraft in WV with only 3 hours on the clock. The investigation was interesting to read. I was never able to find any info on him other than that report though.
