New painting - Curtis JN-4D Jenny

Believe it or not, this is my first Jenny. This will be the poster art for the Military Aviation Museum's 2013 Biplanes and Triplanes Fly-In. With a tight deadline, I had to forego my usual preliminary studies and do a Hail Mary of sorts. The image depicts one of the first JN-4D trainers to land at what was Langley Field (now Langley Air Force Base).

You do have the gift of light! I've seen FHC's JN-4 fly and it's like watching a delecate butterfly flit across the sky, your painting captures that sense of fragile toughness.

Great painting...but in the thread title, Curtiss should have two "S"s. :)
