I got this joystick amongst a bunch of stuff from a deceased estate a year or so back. I'm not really sure what it is off. A few people have suggested it is the control used by the bomber to control the plane during the bombing run. It's very nicely made with zero backlash gears.
The part number on the base is 10L/16209.
Any ideas?

RAF stores code 10L covers "Radio (Wireless and Radar) Control Units".

Thanks, that makes sense. Some of the other items I got were the control system of a Zone Position Indicator (early radar system).
Perhaps the joystick controls the antenna position.
