The three airframes that have contributed a little something so far are all in the registry:

The fixtures built by Ray went to the "the Rat" and liberty belle. The Urbana guys were well on their way with their fuselage by the time Ray made the first fixture.Check out Desert Rat with the nose back on and you can see the fixture.Believe me it helps.

One minor correction HtE, the second fixture went to the Labrador B-17, not Liberty Belle.

Interesting news: so the Labrador B17 is also beeing restored now ? I saw picture of the work on Liberty Belle, but nothing about the Labrador's one.
Do you have more information you could share ?

Thanks

The only work We've done has been on the Labrador B-17 in Douglas, GA. We haven't done any work on Liberty Belle, other than transporting the parts to North Georgia.

It's not uncommon to make the jump from restoring cars to restoring airplanes. That's how Jack Kosko got his start. If Ray's work is as good as Jack's (and I'm sure it will be), we're going to be in for one heck of a treat when the project is complete.

That's ok and understandable, there has been a lot of speculation and misinformation floating around regarding the Liberty Belle rebuild. I usually just let it go if it's not on wix or aerovintage.... (or libertyfoundation.org)

As far as I know, there has been no firm plan yet on the Liberty Belle rebuild, so we just keep plugging away on the Labrador B-17. However, since we're in Douglas, we'll probably be the last to know once the plan is solidified ;)

Swinging this topic back to Lucky13, based on the quality of the work he did on the jig we're using, I look forward to his restoration.
