BRAVO 369 Lend Lease route recreation/tribute

Wed Dec 26, 2012 11:46 pm

If you have not heard of this already, there is a group in Bellingham, WA, who are looking to pay tribute to, and, in an educational setting, tell the story of the pilots who ferried lend/lease aircraft to the Soviet Union. Bravo 369 Flight Foundation plans to recreate the BRAVO 369 route from its eastern origin in Great Falls, MT, to its western terminus Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. On their website, they have a great promotional video that briefly tells the story of these fearless pilots, many of them WASPS, and lays out the mission statement of the group. I encourage everyone to take a look at it.

And while you are at it, also take a look at BRAVO 369 Flight Foundation's other video about Joe Moser, one of the Lost Airmen of Buchenwald, and how he completed his "45th" P-38 mission a couple of years ago, with a little help from Steve Hinton and 23 Skiddoo.

Kris thanks for the links. Great videos, maybe they can look for some of the aircraft that never made it as well!
