Forest Lake Fly In Warbirds

Thu Aug 25, 2005 10:54 pm

This past Saturday(Aug 20) the Forest Lake airport held it's anual flyin. The warbird action has been increasing over the past few years. This year we had a Stearman and 3 T-6's stop in.

Dan,

Any idea who owns the T-6 with the red nose/tail feathers and Navy on the side? I believe it's kept at the New Richmond (WI) Municipal Airport.

According to the FAA the T-6 with the red tail is owned by Bernt Hammerback. It is indeed kept at the New Richmond airport along with his Piaggio Gull.

Scott, feel free use any of these for the registry, I noticed there are no shots of the red tailed T-6(SNJ-4 88-13164).

Well for crying out loud....I know Barry but I didn't know he had a T-6. All I've ever seen him fly is the Piagio!

Thanks for the poop Dan

BTW, My brother and I decided go to Dayton after all so I'll see you there!

That red tail SNJ is the same one my father flew, July 27, 1953, on his 8th training hop @ Pensacola.
