Looks like Strega took the gold. Rare Bear pulled up with engine problem(overheating?). Precious metal lost a clam shell gear door. All down safe! All info subject to confirmation.

Great afternoon! Got to watch my SEAHAWKS beat the Cow Folks and then watched the Sport and Unlim Gold finals.
I thank you for, and appreciate the live coverage, next year could someone check occasionally on camera focus? nothing from foreground to the Moon was in focus and I kept checking to see if I'd forgotten my glasses.

I watched the Unlimited Gold race via the live feed on the RARA web site. Steven Hinton in Strega had it won from the get-go. It looked like Stewart Dawson in Rare Bear had second place in the bag, but he called a Mayday about halfway through the 7th lap, giving second place to Hoot Gibson in September Fury (who was hot on Stu's tail the whole time). Dennis Sanders in Dreadnaught came in third. It turns out that Rare Bear cut a pylon, so he after the penalty was assessed, he would have ended up in third place. The announcer said after the race that Hinton flew one lap at 505+ MPH. That's movin', folks!

I noticed some footage yesterday from one of the pylons was crystal sharp although not real smooth. i wonder if taping looking over a lot of hot tarmac might have affected some of the other footage..
