DC aircraft mural in the works

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing California through the Douglas White Oaks Trust is funding a mural project entitled “Fly Douglas.” The mural will be painted inside the Museum of Flying located in Santa Monica. It will feature images of the DC series of aircraft, the DC-1 through the final aircraft produced, the DC-10. Noted aviation artist, author and historian Mike Machat was commissioned to create the mural.

Hopefully this museum will outlast the previous one!

Circa 1990 I visited the old MoF at Santa Monica, it looked like it was in an upscale FBO, right on the airport.
What happened to that location?

And was there an earlier Douglas Museum in the 70s? I think I recall someplace where I saw the DC-2 and plywood Skyhawk mock-up.

I think VW own that facility now.

The citizens of Santa Monica are very anti-airplane, so I'm surprised the museum is back.

I think the A-4 may be the one that sat in Spray-Lat at Chino for a few years.
