Looks like a Black and White Version of 1941.
Is that John Belushi on the wing of #50?

Funny! I have not seen that movie in a long while.

I was suprised to see what look like ANM2 30 cal, not 50 cal installed in that same image.

Must have inspired Director David Miller (WHO??) when he was doing Flying Tigers in the wilds of Simi Valley with John Wayne And John Carrol with canvas and lathe P-40-ish things pop2

Those are great photos.

The inscription on the P-40 is a real hoot!

Lancer! You don't see that very often.

Heh, you've jogged my memory. Here's another shot from that series showing the 57th PG in Ft. Plains, NJ. I'd posted this sometime back, HERE, to get some feedback as to the identity of the fella in the center of the photo. Totally forgot about that 'til now...

Some lovely shots there, thanks for posting them.

Fascinating. I don't think I've ever noticed the tail numbers reproduced just below the leading edge like that. I wonder if it was common practice?

So that's what the Jug looked like before liberal steroid use! Nice to see the Lancer represented.

Cheers,
Matt
