Any ceremonies or memorials taking place to commemorate Midway? Seems like a big deal for the 70th anniversary.

I always loved the quote on the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
"They had no right to win, but they did anyway, and in doing so changed the course of a war...even against the greatest odds, there is something in the human spirit, a magic blend of faith, skill, and valor, that can lift men from certain defeat to incredible victory."

The quote is from the forward to "Incredible Victory" by Walter Lord, perhaps one of the most definitive books on the Battle of Midway (that I have as a very tattered paperback dating to August 1968). The full text is as follows:
They had no right to win. Yet, they did, and in doing so they changed the course of a war. More than that, they added a new name -- Midway -- to that small list that inspired men by shining example. Like Marathon, the Armada, the Marne, a few others, Midway showed that every once in a while "what must be" need not be at all. Even against the greatest of odds, there is something in the human spirit -- a magic blend of skill, faith and valor -- that can lift men from certain defeat to incredible victory
