Confirm that's a Percival Proctor, your 'Hadrian' is a General Aircraft Hotspur, and there's a Douglas Boston between the Mitchell and the Wellington. Can't make out the fighters to the left, though!

As its got struts on the tailplane its a Hotspur Mk III.

Bottom right corner on the second Franborough 46 photo is the tail of a Vickers Windsor

I give ! That is a interesting historic photo. Did all of those aircraft use the Merlin or did England develop any other powerplants during the war ?

Both the Stirling and Wellington are likely to have Bristol Hercules twin row radial engines (Could also be fitted to the Lancaster to make it a Mk II). The Typhoon has the Napier Sabre which was a 24 cylinder sleeve valve engine in an H arrangement. The Anson and Oxford have the Armstrong Siddley Lynx radial but that was very much pre war as was the Dh Gypsy Major of the Tiger Moth and Magister whilst the Proctor had a Gypsy six.

Did the UK develop any engines during WW2?

Have I mentioned the Jet engine yet? There was the Power Jets/Rover/Rolls Royce W2 Welland, the de Havilland Goblin, the Metropolitan Vicker Beryl just to name the ones that got off the ground before the war ended.

My tired eyes thought I saw another Tiger Moth under that far Lanc wing, but you are correct- they lopped a wing off and called it a Magister.

As my mother brought me up to be pedantic and I spotted my own mistake, I should have said Fieseler F103 R IV Reichenburg- just before anyone else spotted it!
