Here are some fragments from a B-25 crash site. Aircraft was shot down 22 sept 1943 or soon after in south Italy. Some idea to identify?

Can't help you much, but the .50 cartridge case was manufactured at the St. Louis Ordnance Plant in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1942.
