2012 Air Show/Air Race Season

Tue Mar 20, 2012 7:57 pm

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since the crash that eventually took Amanda Younkin Franklin from us and was the first of several air show/race accidents in 2011.
To all of my air show/air race friends (pilots, mechanics, owners, volunteers, etc) let's make this year's air show season the opposite of last year. Lets make sure that everyone comes home safe and we end the year with as many flyable aircraft as we started with! Please take that extra second to look at it one more time, or get someone to put a second set of eyes on it, and be willing to say "No, it's not safe" if it's not. I know that there is a lot of pressure to make that next air show, but don't be afraid to say no if there is a doubt that you or your aircraft are not airworthy. Make sure that you and your aircraft are as safe as possible. Let's give the fans an amazing 2012 season!

Well said Bill,

Last year was indeed a difficult time in the airshow world.
Praying for everyone's safety.

Keep your eye on the ball folks!
