I use to work with the owner, and in speaking with a mutual friend last week he thought in about 5 years.

Tks for the info. Do you have by any chance pics of the current project ?? FG-1D Buno 92690 was at one time an X FAS aircraft.

I don't think I have any pics. Last time I saw it, it was disassembled in about 1000 pieces.

One of the interesting things about this aircraft is the center section main spar has "F2G" stencilled on it. Not sure if there is any difference between the FG-1D & F2G spars?
As 92690 was the 11th from last FG-1D built (Sept. 45), Goodyear may have been using up spares to complete the last few aircraft before conract cancellation.
