If the Bu Number, 86123, hasn't been messed with, it's now on display at the Mid-America Air Museum in Liberal, KS.

86123 was at the Mid America Air Museum in Kansas.
In 1998 it did go out to the USS Hornet museum and was on deck in an unrestored condition.
There are photos on a web site showing the restoration of an Avenger on USS Hornet with the civil registration ending in 31C and the whole registration looks like N6831C.

Sorry about the confusion on the location of this aircraft. The info on the Mid-America Air Museum still lists it as being in their collection. It appears that the USS Hornet is the correct location.
