Photoset Weeks Air Museum (Tamiami)

I've uploaded a set of negative scans on Yahoo Photos ,taken at the Weeks Air Museum at Kendall-Tamiami AP in the summer of 2000.

Most of the collection moved to Kermit Weeks "Fantasy of Flight" at Polk City for storage and some are under restoration elsewhere

Unfortunatly ,The negatives are not in the best condition.
But after over 11 years ,its great to see these photos again

Even after so many years ,these negatives did have some surprises.
Many airframes are now "out of view"
I still have to sort out the full story behind the "P-35" or "P-35A" and the Grumman Duck as Kermit Weeks believed to have imported 4 of these.

Reworking the negatives took longer than the actual visit itself ,but its worth it.

As the new storage hangars are completed we soon see what the status is of all the former Tamiami aircraft.
A few aircraft were reported outside the US
Would be nice to hear the status of those.

If memory serves, the Weeks P-35 came indirectly from Sweden, which might account for the different designation.

The P35 came by a swap with the Air Force Musuem. The AF Musuem got one of Kermit's Grumman Ducks, the one that was used in Murphy's War. Kermit actually flew it to the AF Museum and of course trucked the P35 home. I have been lucky enough to have rode in that Duck and the one he still has flying today. THe AF Museums now hangs from the ceiling in if I remember correctly some type rescue aircraft color scheme.
