My friend Christian - who organised and basically funded the first Ingham Wings and Wheel airshow in September 2011 -today won for his efforts a regional 2011 Community Event of the Year award in Queensland... on Australia Day.
At this show was a few warbird such as TBM Avenger, T-6 Texan, Winjeel, Huey (civil) and CT-4 and more if i recall.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ingham-W ... 1748063084It is hoped that this significant recognition will allow Christian to continue his great work with the aviation community in Australia and may see another airshow and warbird come together in 2013 at Ingham, if he can resolve some funding issues meanwhile.
Many people are proud of his win - especially me seeing i was in attendance at the airshow as a performer and friend.
So another good job done by a Aussie aviation organiser.
