A-7 Corsair II -

I was curious if there are any A-7s under restoration to fly. I think there was a Two seat being assembled in Texas but have not heard anything for nearly a decade -

From what I understand the Texas A-7 project is on hold...I saw the airframe in a hanger @ 1995 or so....have not seen it since. I keep hearing that it is around and that the cubic dollar collection business is slow....

Wow, a project like this has got to be e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e!

Do you have any photos of the airframe that you can post here from your '95 visit Zane? Is it a former USN TA-7C? There's a photo in the Ginter two-seat A-7 book of a USN two-seater on a truck that was in the process of going to its [private owner's] new home. I don't have the book here with me at work so I'm not sure of the exact caption... It looked to be in pretty rough shape after the de-milling process, I do remember that much!

Had an Aurora model of this aircraft as a kid. Always, always loved this airframe!
