Aussie warbirds

Mon Jan 16, 2012 3:42 am

Here is a video showing some of the action at HARS Feb 2011 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P457ROEUxUk
Next airshow is in May 2012 for anyone wishing to attend.
I will be there with my collection of heritage flightgear as usual - been there now i think 5yrs.

Another bit of news passed onto me is that an Australian TBM Avenger warbird once owned by Steve Searle, has been sold to New Zealand buyer and will be exported soon.

Plonky returns!
Will join Brendon Deere's Spitfire at Ohakea, should be at RNZAF 75th Open Day, and Wanaka.

It's in Toowoomba right now. PS: Plonky disappeared years ago..."Georgia Peach" it is now.

G'day All

I reckon it will be a couple of weeks before Georgia Peach heads back over to NZ. she is getting a good check over before the trip. It has been an absolute pleasure seeing the TBM fly in Aus skies. And sincerely hope she gives her new owner many hours of pleasuable flying experiances. We know they are a big bird and when you see one in a hanger with other warbirds you get to really appreciate how big an Avenger is.
