As of this afternoon we have finished with the camouflage. Over the next week I hope to paint the U.S. insignia and start on the stenciling (anybody have reference for stencil placement?). In the next couple of days I intend to polish out the canopy and paint the wheel wells. I am on vacation from the real job, so I hope to leave town for a few days. This volunteer stuff can take a good deal of time!

She looks great! If you like we can go and get measurements for you off of the Grissom aircraft.

From one aircraft painter to another, good job.
I have had several people ask me if they can do a paint their plane themselves to save money.
Now you guys know the answer to that question.
Well done,

Great paint job!
The only problem is, that the tan paint behind the cockpit, should be exactly 0.0000001" forward of its actual position....
Felicitaciones, on a good job!

Tulio

Years ago (late seventies/early eighties) somebody had a flying F-84F painted in "Thunderbirds" colors. I seem to recall it belonging to a west coast drone operation... Anybody know what became of it?

The owner/operator didn't have a clear title to the bird so the USAF seized it and stuck it on a pole at Malstrom AFB...
